Software and firmware updates for Fluke 430 Series II power quality tools: extra functionality, benefits, instructions; preserve old data; get best results
Both the instrument firmware and PowerLog application software for the Fluke 430 Series II power quality tools have been updated. If you own one of these tools, download both of these updates and install them for extra functionality. It’s important to have both updates because previous versions of firmware are not supported by this version of PowerLog.
With the firmware update (V3.05), we recommend downloading data directly from the SD card for large data files (>16 MB). The accompanying release notes give you complete details of the benefits of updating, as well as instructions on how to ensure best results and successful preservation of old data.
The new PowerLog application software is V3.3. This software has many improvements, including support of measurement data from the Fluke 434 Series II Energy Analyzer, the Fluke 435 Series II Power Quality and Energy Analyzer, and the Fluke 437 Series II 400Hz Power Quality and Energy Analyzer. It includes FlukeView capabilities for remote control. The release notes provide complete details about new fixes and features.
Before you perform the upgrade process, it is highly recommended that you back up any important measurement data on the instrument’s SD card. We recommend that the instrument SD card is formatted after instrument upgrade.
A short guide to backing up and copying data from the Fluke 430 is available. This guide also includes some guidance on data archiving.
The Fluke 430 Series II USB drive will install automatically under normal circumstances, but we have provided a file for manual installation.
