In part two we will cover a review the symbols used in Digital Meters and focus on the advanced features on Digital meters including Auto-V/LoZ , Volt Alert, Hold – TouchHold, Frequency, Min Max Average, Relative Mode, InRush Current and Low Pass Filtering. This presentation will also cover Digital Meter Software, Wireless displays for Digital Meters and Wireless data acquisition using Digital Meters.
Earth Ground Resistance
The ground system is the foundation of the electrical system, just like the foundation of a building. A building with a bad foundation will collapse just as an electrical system with a bad ground system will not operate properly. Symptoms of a poor grounding systems includes safety issues, poor operation, unnecessary downtime and equipment failures. Without an effective grounding system, there is the risk of electric shock, instrumentation errors, harmonic distortion issues, power factor problems and a host of possible intermittent dilemmas.
This two part presentation will cover these areas involved in Earth Ground Resistance including: earth ground foundation, why ground and test, grounding basics, methods of earth ground testing, measuring ground resistance process and the test equipment used to assure a proper operating ground system.
