EVERETT, Wash. – Users of test & measurement tools have a new destination on the Web to exchange information, ideas and opinions, access resources on products and safety issues, and get expert support on a wide range of tools and applications. Sponsored by Fluke Corporation, the world’s leading supplier of test and measurement equipment, Test Tool Talk, the Test Tool Users Online Community site is designed as a peer-to-peer, one-stop information source for test tool users. It includes tips, best practices, information on new technologies and products.
The Test & Measurement Tool Users Community site at Fluke Nation offers forums on safety, applications including power quality and harmonics, maintenance and troubleshooting, motors and drives, HVAC/indoor air quality, power distribution systems, and predictive maintenance. There are also product forums including digital multimeters, clamp meters and testers, thermography, process instrument calibration, insulation resistance test, portable oscilloscopes and infrared and contact thermometers. Site visitors can view these forums, find links to Fluke resources such as application notes, white papers and FAQ documents, or use the site’s searchable knowledge base. Registration is required to post comments or questions or respond to existing posts in any of the forums.
"With more applications, new technologies and ever-present safety issues, it’s critical that the test and measurement tool user community have convenient access to resources that can help them build knowledge and proficiency," said Steve Clark, Application Engineering Manager at Fluke. "We wanted to provide a sort of ‘neutral territory’ where test tool users could go to get answers to a specific question on how to use a tool, increase their application knowledge, or just exchange ideas and opinions on test tool use with their peers or expert sources. We’ll contribute support and technical expertise as needed, but the goal is to create an environment for users that can be built and managed primarily by users."
In addition to the new site, Fluke has programs and publications designed to provide professional test tool users with the educational material, technical and application information and other resources they need to get the most from Fluke products: the FlukePlus members-only program, the Fluke Education Program and the Fluke News magazine.
