EVERETT, Washington, -- Fluke Corporation, the leader in compact, professional electronic test tools, announced today that its representative in Mexico, Mexicana De Electronica Industrial, S.A. (Mexel), has been presented with Fluke's highest international sales award for the Americas/Asia Pacific region, the 2003 Bob Hagger Award. This marks the fourth time Mexel has won this top sales award.
Bob Hagger, late international sales program manager, died in a plane crash in 1990 while on business in India. In memory of Bob, each year Fluke recognizes one country sales organization for outstanding performance. The country must achieve sales forecast, significant year-to-year growth and exhibit professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm - all qualities Bob Hagger possessed.
Despite exceptionally difficult economic conditions in 2002, Mexel has managed to consistently grow core business year over year and position themselves for excellent sales opportunities in 2003 through aggressive educational activity. Mexel's outstanding growth performance sustained over many years has placed Mexico among Fluke Intercon Operations' top five markets and has created a benchmark for other countries to emulate, particularly in the areas of distribution management and business planning.
Mexel is headquartered in Mexico City with branches in Juárez City, Tijuana, Monterrey and Guadalajara. They have been Fluke's representative in Mexico since 1983.
