PRESS RELEASE : Fluke Thermal Imager is winner of Engineer's Choice Award

EVERETT, Wash. – Subscribers to Control Engineering, the leading print and online publication for process and facilities engineers, have given the new Fluke Ti25 Thermal Imager the magazine’s ‘Engineers’ Choice Award’ for excellence in the Process Sensors category.

Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement and thermal imaging technology, introduced the Fluke Ti25 Thermal Imager in early 2008.

“This year’s ‘Engineers’ Choice’ contest drew a heavy amount of voting in each of the categories,” said David Greenfield, Editorial Director for Control Engineering. “Fluke Corporation’s Ti25 Thermal Imager, however, won handily in the process sensors category - an indication of the high level of recognition and respect for Fluke Corporation’s product among Control Engineering subscribers.” Full results of the voting will be announced in February in a special magazine supplement, and at www.controleng.com.

The Fluke Ti25 is designed to withstand harsh environments and deliver extraordinary performance at an affordable price. It features Fluke’s industry-leading IR-Fusion technology, so users can merge infrared and visual images together on a single display and spot temperature anomalies faster. Fluke SmartView® software is included with each thermal imager.

“These results show that engineering professionals recognize the value of thermography in monitoring and controlling industrial processes,” said Fluke Industrial President Ken Konopa. “New-generation imagers like the Fluke Ti25 make thermography affordable in every workplace.”

Instruments like the Fluke TiR1 and Fluke TiR Thermal Imagers set a new standard for affordable thermal imager performance. Many older imagers were bulky and delicate, and cost $10,000 or more. The new Fluke imagers cost from $4,495 to $7,495.

These tools make thermal imaging cost effective for day-to-day troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Industry and building diagnostic professionals are putting this technology to work to solve problems and increase their productivity in many applications.

These new-generation imagers are engineered for durability (they withstand a drop of 6.5 feet) and IP54 rated to withstand water and dust. And they integrate infrared and visual (visible light) images to make it easier to identify and analyze problems. Each imager also includes Fluke SmartView® software, with patent-pending 3D-IR graphing, for viewing, annotating, editing and analyzing images.
