EVERETT, Wash. – Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology, has been recognized for excellence in product design in the 6th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine, the leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration industries.
The Fluke 233 Remote Display Multimeter won the Silver Award in the Testing and Monitoring Products category. An independent panel of 30 contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 114 entries from different industry brands.
This is the third industry award collected by the Fluke 233, which was introduced in Q4 2009. Readers of Plant Engineering, one of the top publications for professionals in the manufacturing plant design, operations and maintenance industry, picked the Fluke 233 as 2009 Plant Engineering Product of the Year. The innovative test tool won an Honorable Mention in the Control Engineering Magazine Engineers’ Choice Awards, Process Control—Power Monitoring category. The Fluke 233 was also named a finalist in the Design News Magazine Golden Mousetrap Awards.
Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 12, 2010 issue of The ACHR News, which is distributed nationally to over 33,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers and other industry professionals. The Fluke 233 is the industry’s first digital multimeter with a detachable wireless display, which offers users three key benefits:
SAFETY - Now you can read measurements at a safe distance from live electrical equipment. You can place the Fluke 233 DMM on the inside of a machine enclosure, for instance, and take readings with the door safely locked while operating controls from the outside.
COST SAVINGS - Jobs that used to require two technicians can now be done by one. Rather than have an assistant holding the meter and yelling results to a second tech operating controls, one person can now do it all.
COMFORT AND ERGONOMICS - By placing the display where you can see it, regardless of where the meter and test leads are located, you can easily read results even when test points are hard to access.
In addition to functioning as a highly capable multimeter, the Fluke 233 Remote Display Multimeter gives users ultimate flexibility in unusual test situations. By simply sliding the wireless display out of the meter body, the user can place the display where it is most easily seen - up to 10 meters (33 feet) from the point of measurement - while putting the meter in the best position to take measurements. The Fluke 233 Remote Display Multimeter is available immediately at a suggested retail price of $299.95. A specification sheet on the Fluke 233 is available at Fluke 233.
